Adrienne Gibson, MA LPC

Adrienne Gibson

Adrienne Gibson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arizona. She received her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in 2000 and her Masters degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2005. Adrienne's internship and work experience has dealt mostly with children and families.

From 2005 to 2007, Adrienne worked at Superstition Mountain Mental Health Center in the Intensive Children's Services Department providing intensive in-home services to children and every member of the family that was willing to be involved to help the child. Working in this type of environment, Adrienne has experience dealing with sexual, physical and emotional abuse, trauma, addictions, marital issues, parenting issues and challenges, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, cutting, school behavioral issues, bullying, anger and aggression, phobias and attachment issues. In all of these situations the main client was the child. Adrienne has also worked along side Child Protective Services with Family Reunification, Juvenile Department of Corrections, Juvenile Probation, Division of Developmental Disabilities, many foster care agencies, group homes, residential treatment centers and State Hospitals.

In 2007 Adrienne worked for Phoenix Christian Counseling Associates as a Child and Family Therapist and continued to work with children aged 4 to 18. She was also the Assistant Clinical Director at this Agency. Adrienne utilizes play, art and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Lindy M. Johnson, MAPC, LAC

Lindy Johnson

Lindy Johnson is licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Licensed Associate Counselor(LAC). She received her Bachelors of Education from the University of Western Ontario, her Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling (MAPC) from Ottawa University and a Graduate Diploma in Christian Counseling from Phoenix Seminary.

As a LAC, Lindy is committed to helping individuals navigate their way through difficult and painful life situations. She primarily works with clients who are struggling with the challenging problems encountered in every day life such as: depression and anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem and self-identity, childhood trauma, abuse and recovery and post abortion care and healing. Lindy has a special interest in working with spouses whose partners are struggling with memory loss and Alzheimer's disease.

Lindy has received training in 'Emotionally Focused Therapy' (EFT). She is experienced in working with distressed couples and is committed to helping them reconnect and move towards emotional closeness.

Lindy has also been trained in 'Brainspotting', a relatively new technique that helps to stimulate and process emotional pain in a deep yet safe and gentle way.

As a previous elementary school teacher, a licensed counselor, a wife of 30 years and a mother and mother-in-law to 3 young adults, Lindy brings experience, compassion and understanding to her clients.

Lindy enjoys working with people of varied faiths, cultures and backgrounds. She has a Graduate Diploma in Christian Counseling from Phoenix Seminary. She offers faith based counseling for those who are seeking it.

Amanda Robinson, MA LAC

Amanda Robinson

Amanda Robinson is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) under the supervision of Adrienne Gibson, MA LPC. Amanda graduated from Southwestern College with a Counseling degree in 2005, and completed the Masters in Counseling program through Northern Arizona University in 2010.

Amanda views counseling as an opportunity to partner with her clients on their journey towards the life they want. Whether that is reducing depression, anxiety, or coping with big feelings, she considers it a privledge to walk with those who long for change and peace in their life.

Amanda's internship at TERROS provided her with a well-rounded experience with adults in an outpatient setting. Most of her individual counseling dealt with addiction, depression, anxiety, social phobia, sexual trauma, emotional trauma, domestic violence, dual-diagnosis, borderline personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and eating disorders. She has led and co-led intensive outpatient groups. Therapies used and shown to be very effective in these areas vary from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness.
